Founded by Tanner Barley, CPT/CN, in Hilton Head Island and now serving Greenville, SC, Squatch Strength’s mission is to unlock and empower your best you through personalized fitness training and nutrition guidance.  Tanner is a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutritionist, eager to equip you with the tools to lead a balanced, healthy lifestyle using a customized approach.

Tanner Barley, CPT/Certified Nutritionist — Strength Coach, Injury Specialist & Founder of Squatch Strength

Tanner Barley is a comic book aficionado, tattoo collector, and the founder of Squatch Strength—a fitness and wellness coaching service that focuses on building strength, resilience, and balance through science-backed methods.

Born in Florida and raised in the Lowcountry of South Carolina, Tanner’s path to the fitness world wasn’t typical. As a child, he was nicknamed the "bubble boy," battling severe asthma and relentless allergies that kept him inside for most of his early years. Living vicariously through comic books, he dreamed of one day becoming as strong as the superheroes on those colorful pages.

Determined to break free from his limitations, Tanner overcame his health obstacles and began his fitness journey as a teenager. Originally pursuing a degree in physical therapy, he discovered a love for injury rehabilitation and helping people rebuild after setbacks. His culinary arts education in Charleston further deepened his understanding of how food fuels recovery and optimal performance.

Through Squatch Strength, Tanner has made it his mission to help clients not only gain strength but heal from injuries and prevent future setbacks. His personalized programs empower you to move pain-free, build resilience, and live abundantly without gimmicks or cookie-cutter routines.

Available to our Greenville clientele, we create tasty meal preps based on your favorite dishes. Based upon input generated on your Discovery Call, we curate a shopping list for you. We bring the tools, knowledge, and creativity to your home to whip up a batch of macro-friendly meals together.
